About Christelle

Thank you for your curiosity!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Registered Psychotherapists.

I have 20 years of professional experience in the education and non-profit sectors – as a peer support worker, youth group leader, facilitator/trainer, health promoter, crisis intervention worker, and manager. All of these experiences involved working closely with young people and adults to support them in their learning, growth, health and wellbeing.

My formal education includes:

  • Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy
  • Bachelor of Education in Adult Education
  • Master of Arts in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management

I have additional training in Creative Facilitation and Theatre of the Oppressed.

On a personal note

You may find it relevant to know that I identify as queer and non-binary, a francophone living in a minority context, as well as a white settler of Québécois and Irish ancestry.

I am fluent in English and French. I have an advanced knowledge of Spanish and an intermediate knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese.

Intercultural exchange and experiential education (learning by doing) have been central to my life. I have had the opportunity to live, work, and study in Québec, Ontario, the United States, Bolivia, Peru, Cuba, and Brazil at different points in time. As a result, I consider myself a lifelong learner who highly values self-reflection and cultural humility.
